Manchester’s Magic Club for Magician’s “The Order of the Magi” which is England’s 3rd Oldest Magical Society was formed in March 1909 and according to documented history by publication of the news in September 1909 edition of THE WIZARD magazine they started to publish a prospectus around May/June 1909 and then started the publication of their club magazine entitled “The Magi” in October 1909.

We are in the process of trying to find as much historical video footage that may still exist of past Magi Club events including Competitions, Shows and New Members nights and in that regards we are indebted to current Magi Member Ian Hirst for the footage which follows in this page which has been obtained from his own personal archive…
In the video above Compere Tony Collier Introduces Magician Sid Bloom to the stage as the first act of the evening for a Magic Show that members of the Order of the Magi gave which was staged at Manchester Grammar School in 1995.
In the next video he introduces us to Clifford Cowling who then also gives a fine Magical Performance
Next Children’s & Kids Show Magical Entertainment is provided when Tony Collier introduces Mr. Magic to the stage
The next act to be introduced is still a current member of the Magi and is whom we obtained this wonderful video footage from, namely Ian Hirst
Next up we see Jack Meredith perform his act of Magic & Illusion
The compere for the show Tony Collier then treats the audience to some more Comical amazement as he has also done throughout the show in between the various acts
Magician Martin Grundy is the next performer to be introduced
